Firstly, apologies all for the lack of posting. It's been a funny few months, where I've kinda swung back and forth with enthusiasm and motivation. I have been pottering away in the background on various things, and am still adding minis to the painted tally. There is a huge blog post sitting in draft status hiatus, but, I don't know when or if that will be published.
I did recently finish off the Grymkin reinforcements that had been languishing on my desk since May, ironically after hurting my wrist, and just having left A&E mid shift with tendonitis...
The monkeys finally have Organ Grinders.
Other than the Grymkin, I've added more Foundry Vikings to my SAGA/Dark Age Fantasy force, some 10mm Argatoria miniatures from Spellcrow, a couple of Nurgle characters and other stuff.
As promised, I said I'd let you know when the Ratmen I'd painted up for Ral Partha Europe were going to be available, and it turns out that it will be this month, via Kickstarter. Credit to Paul for the photograph, although he almost got an angry message when I first saw it, because I wanted to know why they hadn't used the ones I had painted, then I sheepishly realised that they were the ones I had painted, just captured by someone that can actually use a camera...
What a difference being able to take photograps does. I should maybe look into that...

Finally, and the main reason for me putting fingers to keyboard again, a few weeks ago, while letting youTube videos play in the background, one popped up from James MacCraggs of the "Mad Tin Hatter" blog regarding some devastating news about his son. Go visit the blog for details of the "For Joshua" project that he is undertaking. The upshot of this is I wanted to do something to show support, so I figured, seeing as I was supposed to be doing the 10mm Taurian army as a #hobbyresolution, I'd toss them, and the extra figures I had towards helping him achieve his goals.
I've painted up 6 bases of Minotaurs (or Taurians) splitting the standard 12 model units into 6's, as well as an individually based hero and wizard to use as hero upgrade tokens or lesser commanders, as well as a 28mm Foundry Minotaur to use as a Giant or commander. I have another 4 bases of minotaurs to do, along with the Warlord and Shaman stands, and 3 bases of various Centaurs to finish off the army pack. I think I still have more random individual figures, so, I'll try and get a few more based up too before posting them off.
So, yeah, brief update to say I'm still about in the background, with thoughts of how to improve things next year, and to tell you to either look out for the "For Joshua" project at any of the game shows it will be at, and buy raffle tickets for it, or consider chipping in some minis.

Not even sure anything moved...
Couple of reasons for this, kids were over at the weekend, so they spent some time pottering about with their Dragon Rampant army, so, I took the opportunity to do some assembly and basing too. Figured I'm going to try and have as much as possible cleaned, assembled, based and primed so that I only have the secret projects for #talesofinstahammer to prepare. I'm at just over 60% of the planned stuff assembled and based for the year, and I reckon doing the 10mm Warband army will really ramp that number up. Also, that doesn't take into account any of the stuff I already did over what I had planned.
Speaking of which, the challenge this month is Vanguard, and the secret project is to paint up a hero (or two). I kind of scunnered myself here by painting 3 Necromancers last month, along with the 3 Skeleton Champions... Not sure, what I am going to do this month, maybe source another Necromancer model, or a Vampire of some description. My Vanguard unit will be 15 Black Knights using the Mantic Cavalry. They are the restic versions, so clean-up was minimal and annoying, so I just clipped off the injection points, trimmed them, and scraped the mould lines off the front legs and face plate. I've based them on 40mm lipped bases, so they match my SAGA stuff, and could also be used for Lord/War of the Ring(s).

I've also assembled both warbands from the Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault box, along with a box of the snap-fit Mystmourn Banshees, 6 Fenrisian Wolves, 3 Spirit Hosts and 6 Mantic Trolls.
The Underworlds stuff and wolves were a joy to assemble, and, just when I was thinking how nice it was to be putting together nice sprued plastic kits, I started the Spirit Hosts. They were a nightmare. I'm sure there could have been much better keying for the strands without losing the incorporeal look. The Banshees, Spirit Hosts and Knights are planned for my Death army, and the Wolves and Trolls for my Of Gods & Mortals force,
Carrying on with that, I've also cleaned up and based the Warlord and 2 points of Two Handed Axe armed Vikings for my SAGA Jomsvikings, and the 4 Berserkers, for my OG&M list. These two projects are pretty intertwined, as I'll be able to get a lot of double duty from the figures and switch up lists a bit.
Started work on 2 of the 4 units of hand weapon/shield Hearthguard too.
Finally, been upping my game count too in preparation for the Belgian Warmachine & Hordes Masters this weekend. Mostly playing Grymkin, but also dug out Baldur 2 for a practice game to see how Sarah's army handles the Starcrossed/behind a wall/Roots of the Earth (and Spiny Growth in the case of Ghetorix) skew. Lost on scenario, but had a real grindy game, and still finished with 3 heavies on the table. Lost Wrongeye trivially, because Incorporeal and Transference (and re-rolls) is a thing that deals with Starcrossed...

So that's pretty much it. Hard weekend of drinking with added Warmachine coming up, then back to the grind to get my #talesofinstahammer projects and getting on with the 15mm stuff that is already on the workbench.

Continuing on from yesterday's write up of 2018, I'm going to lay out my #hobbyresolution2019 plans for the year, and do the write up why, and maybe continue the reward system. I've changed it slightly from last year to be 8 painting and 4 each of gaming and hobby, for no other reason than it sits better on the 4x4 grid. Here goes nothing...
PAINTING (8 resolutions)
1. Fully Paint Grymkin (HORDES)
So, last year I managed to paint over 200 points of Grymkin, along with 4 of the 6 Warlocks, and played them in a few events, most notable Welsh Masters and the World Team Championship. Being a limited release Faction, and my stylized colour scheme, means it is both cheaper and quicker to get them all fully painted. I used the last of my Pressgang Points to pick up a second unit of Murder Crows and 2 Madcaps, along with some other stuff, so I have at least one of every available option for them. The plan is to paint up the maximum Field Allowance for everything (jury's out on a second Death Knell though) with at least 3 of every available Warbeast, with a couple of exceptions. I doubt I'll need 3 Clockatrice when they release in February, so, I'll do 2, and a 4th Cage Rager to run the Pat Dunford (or Mat Hickling, depends on who you believe) Dreamer list, and probably 4 sets of Crabbits, to max out the King of Nothing's warbeast points, or have spares for free cards. I still have a fair bit of stuff to pick up, and more resin bases to order, but if I can even finish the models I own, I'll be happy with that. So, starting Painting Resolution 1 with a target of 79 miniatures.
Reward - this is kind of a reward in itself, I still have stuff to buy for it, and bases, but I'll end up with a fully painted (Limited Release) Faction.
2. 2000 point Death army for #talesofinstahammer (Age of Sigmar)
This was a late addition to the list, but, I was already planning on doing a lot of the models for various Fantasy Dark Age gaming. The 72 Zombies I had planned to use as Levy for my SAGA Draugr soon became 120... I'm not going for a killer list, more, just random stuff that will be useable in multiple settings cobbled together to hit a points limit. I had a lot of stuff already for this, so it's not a huge drain on funds, and might be subject to change depending on what the secret challenges for the Tale are. There is a brief outline of tasks for the first 6 months of the year, followed by a 6 month open period where the plan is to finish the army, as far as I can make out, but, we'll see how it goes. Current list adds 152 models to the tally, with some extra stuff like grave markers to be added.
Reward - Probably has to be a Forgeworld Mournghul. Loved that model for ages.
3. 24pt Tree Folk army in 15mm (Dragon Rampant)
I really need to get back into my 15mm fantasy stuff, so I figured I'd do a Tree Folk/Forest Spirit/Nature based force for DR, mainly so I can throw dice with James and Sam, and it gives me the opportunity to go mad with clump foliage. It's all going to be Demonworld models for this, which I already own, so all I really need is a couple of movement trays. I did have to fudge the rules a little to get everything to fit, but I doubt either of them would care too much as it is thematic rather than gamey. Another 31 models added to the tally (even if they are, mostly, small.)
Reward - No Idea.
4. 6pt Jomsviking force (SAGA)
I've owned a large amount of Wargames Foundry Vikings for going on 20 years now, and maybe 3 have been partially painted... I figured it was time to rectify that, and it would give me a good start on models for Blood Eagle too. I picked the Jomsviking for the sole reason that they can be built as an elite force, so I could get away with the lowest model count army possible. I picked the most heavily armed and armoured sculpts I had, and sorted out enough shields with embossed emblems for them (I'll use the split shields for warrior units, and plain ones for any Levy models I get to. Yes, I know I can't take Levy, but I can if I run them as standard Vikings) 6 Hearthguard units and Warlord adds another 25 models to the list.
Reward - No Idea.
5. Taurian Army pack (Warband)
I picked these up a couple of years ago (Minotaur army, obviously) and figured I'd get them done too, as the Hordes of the Things painting went well last year. This will add another 73 models to the list spread over 8 multibases, so, I'm not really sure how I count them. It's a bit more than the 3-5 on a HotT base. Sadly, I know the correct answer to this.
Okay, 8 Elements it is...
Reward - I'll possibly pick up another of the army packs (Undead) or maybe some random additions for the list.
6. 15mm Worm Cult Picts (Hordes of the Things)
Despite not having seen the field of battle, I really like the miniatures I painted up last year for this, so I plan to add another 8 elements to the army, aiming to do a few new ones, and bulk out some of the options I already have painted. I've ordered more Worms for them from Heresy Miniatures, and they are resin now, which should be lighter on the bases and easier to pin. Again, 8 elements added to the total.
Reward - No Idea.
7. Paint 4 Shadespire Warbands
So, I was planning on doing the two warbands from the original box, plus the Farstriders and picking up the Sepulchral Guard, but, seeing as I got the Nightvault box at Christmas, I'll do the Briar Queen set instead. I'm still planning on painting Garrek's Reavers, although it might have been a better idea to do all 3 Stormcast Eternal warbands at the same time. Another 18 models to add.
Reward - I already think I'll be getting all the warbands one way or another, so, to avoid miniatures, I'll probably pick up the terrain set and/or some snazzy tokens for Shadespire.
8. 1200pt Norse Army (Of Gods & Mortals)
I've played OG&M a few times in 15mm with James, but I'm doing this in 28mm to get more of those Foundry Vikings done, and I wanted an excuse to pick up the gorgeous Odin sculpt from Nothstar. I also wanted to paint up some Berserkers (that the Jomsvikings don't have access to, to allow me to run them as standard Vikings) and give me more stuff for Blood Eagle. Got almost everything I have planned for the list, with the exception of a single Valkyrie (should have a female Foundry model somewhere) and some Trolls (also, these are somewhere, but I can't find them right now...) Another 40 models on the list.
Reward - No idea. Maybe a large scale figure suitable for another God.
Total painting target - 361 miniatures/elements/multibases (443 actual miniatures). I'd like to hit 365 miniatures painted over the year, so. getting all this done covers it (in individual models at least.) I'd also like to equal or beat my 2018 total, but really, I'm going to aim for 400 painted miniatures/elements for the year.
GAMING ( 4 resolutions)
9. Play 100 games.
Same as last year, keep hammering out games. Doesn't matter what scale or genre, just keep putting painted figures on the table and pushing them around and having fun. That's pretty much the whole reason for doing this, right?
Reward - No idea.
10. Play 8 New Opponents
Again, stole this one from last year. Probably because I managed it. It was something that I claimed early in the year, but even then, I tripled the original figure. It probably gets harder if I'm only playing one system, travel dependant, but as I add more painted forces to the stable, it should always be a possibility.
Reward - No idea.
11. Play 8 board games.
Again, stolen from last year, but upped the number. HATE should be arriving, and I'm keen to play that, hell knows if I'll ever see Rivals or Torn Armor, but I still have enough of a collection that I can do this.
Reward - board game expansion... modest kickstarter... I dunno.
12. Run APRIL FUEL DAZE 3!
Well, it's not personal gaming so to speak, but to continue the event I started as a Press Ganger, and give other people the opportunity to play, I'm planning the 3rd APRIL FUEL DAZE event. As always, I want it to get bigger and better, and really have an impact on the Scottish Warmachine Scene.
Reward - well... I already won a free ticket to Welsh Masters so...
A bit of a mix between things there, different types of games (no cards, they don't count) just to mix things up a bit.
HOBBY (4 resolutions)
13. Consistent Blogging
The plan is to continue with the same ideal as before, a weekly #workbenchWednesday post, and a monthly review post, showing where I am with my resolutions.

14. Shows and Conventions
Aiming for at least 4 different shows or conventions. Vapnartak and Carronade are pencilled in, I'm sure I can squeeze in a couple more.
Reward - random impulse purchases?
15. Continue transferring paints to dropper bottles.
Herculean effort, glutton for punishment, call it what you will, I'm going to keep on keeping on with this one. A quick count shows 27 Games Workshop, 74 Privateer Press and 366 Wargames Foundry paints (467 total) to be transferred. And that isn't counting the newest P3 colours... I managed most of the GW ones last year, so, hopefully I can at least finish them.
Reward - more paint. In dropper bottles.
16. Even more blogging
I'd like to do at least one extra blog post per calendar month, on top of the weekly and monthly updates. It could be on anything, a painting tutorial, recap of a show or event, battle report, discussion about an army list, I dunno. I guess the plan is to just keep on putting stuff out there and hopefully build traffic on the blog.
Reward - no idea.
Again, a bit of a mix of stuff, one thing I really wanted to do, and had pencilled in for a bit, was get more 3d terrain done. There is a really good article over on Void Spaces about making a Barrow, which would be ideal for SAGA/Blood Eagle/All the Dark Aage Fantasy stuff I am, and have been painting up. It would be a bit of a throwback for me too, to get my hands mucky making terrain, as it's mostly been 2d stuff here, or hard plastic kits. I have some Hirsts moulds somewhere that would be suitable, and, there are probably a few things I would change, but it would be interesting to see the same idea done differently.
Well, that's it for now, I should probably get some sleep before getting started on this years hobbying. If anyone has any ideas for resolution rewards, I'm all ears.
So, I did good keeping this updated last month, and hope to do so for the remainder of the year, if not beyond.
Having finished the Circle models, I've got a few Saga models up next.
The
2 units of mounted hearthguard have been drilled and glued to
paperclips for priming off of their horses, and I've started with a
colour primer of Platemail metal, followed by a Dark tone wash. The
skin has been blocked in with Tanned Flesh. Once all the other details
are blocked in, I'll give them an all over wash with Dark Tone, then
highlight and layer up.
The Horses have been primed Leather
Brown, basically because it's easier to paint the horse another colour
and the basework is already done, and the texture has been washed with
Strong tone.
The 2nd unit of Warriors was also primed
Leather brown and hit with the Strong wash, and the skin was blocked
in. The plan is to drybrush Leather Brown over the bases, followed by
Skeleton Bone, then re-do the rims Leather Brown. That is how I do the
majority of my bases these days. It also gets the messy drybrushing out
of the way before painting really begins.
Yesterday's
review post got me thinking though, with 16 hobby resolutions, which is
basically crossing off 4 every 3 months to keep on target. Some, like
keeping the Games room tidy or Ironmanning the PP forum painting
challenge are obviously end of the year things, whilst others can be
completed much sooner. So, highlighters in hand, I set about
provisionally planning how I would break them down over the year.
January - March - Finish the Microworld Beastmen, Paint a Gargossal, Play 6 new Opponents, Go to 2 Shows or Conventions.
York
and SmogCon cover the latter two, and hopefully I can find the time to
get a Gargantuan painted before then. Then it's just a case of
finishing off the beastmen and getting started on the next things.
April - June - Run a 2 day event, play 6 different boardgames, Place at Welsh Masters, Finish 6pts of Saga.
Well,
the Saga stuff is halway done already, with more on the paint station
so that's a big plus, Welsh masters and my event are in April and May,
and the Boardgames breaks down to 1 a month.
July - September - Konflict '47, Warband Dark Elves, 20 Frostgrave figures, 2 Hordes Battle boxes.
OK,
so, errrrr, basically this was all the choices that were left that
after the first 8, and working out what 4 I couldn't tick off until the
end of the year...
October - December - Tidy Games
Room, Keep Butcher's Guild fully painted, Transfer Paints to Dropper
Bottles, PP Forum Ironman status.
As above, mostly stuff I won't know I've done until the end of the year.

Actually,
I am going to try and keep this updated semi Regularly, hopefully at
least once a month, whilst still tinkering away at making the site look a
bit nicer and getting more pictures up.
This post was prompted by a Hobby Resolution Image that was floating about on Instagram from hobbyvices
where he was looking for people to share the #hobbyresolution2017 (I
think that counts) and it kinda mixed in my head with someone else who
had posted up a Hobby Bingo sheet for the previous year. So I floated
the idea with Brushchewer about doing something similar.
I
figured 16 various things, spread across Painting, Gaming and Hobby
would be good (we both chose different amounts) and quickly set about
working mine out. Ultimately, mine ended up being mostly painting
related (10 choices) then split evenly between gaming and hobby ( 3 a
piece)
I'll List them here with a bit of explanation
towards each, and keep them updated on the Homepage once I've worked out
all the lists and what is actually done.
2017 Hobby Resolutions
1 - Build and paint a 1500 point German Force for Konflict '47. in 15mm.
I've
had a bunch of Plastic Soldier Company and Battlefront Germans lying
around for a few years now, from when a few guys at the clubs I went to
were all over Flames of War. I never got beyond building and modding a
few tanks before they moved onto something else, so that was as far as
that project went. So, general love of werewolves, and having a bit of
an interest in Weird War, I was very interested in Konflict '47,
especially as I had been following Clockwork Goblin when they were
producing the 15mm versions. Talking to my Erstwhile partner in 15mm
Crime, I figured I may as well get some of the stuff painted up. I've
worked out a preliminary 1000pt list, but will take it up to 1500 or so,
as I didn't add a tank.
2 - Continue painting Microworld Beastmen for 6mm Warmaster to hit 2000+ points.
Warmaster
was a game I really enjoyed back when it was released, and despite
never playing much, I've always had a soft spot for it. Despite owning
both an official Chaos army and the Copplestone 'Honestly not Lord of
the Rings' Orc army, I decided to go for 6mm as I had fallen in love
with the models from MicroWorld Games
and it was a lot cheaper than starting a new Ebay army. I settled for
Beastmen (although both Demons and Wood Elves were tempting) and got a
fair amount painted up last year in a couple of sessions. Currently
sitting at about 1400pts painted, and I hope to get the army to at least
2000pts, which I can hit by finishing the units and characters that I
had already started.
3 - Paint one of the 6 WARMACHINE Colossals or HORDES Gargantuans I have in my Backlog.
Imagine Mt. Everest. Made of Lead...
So
between the various factions I collect (read: Most) I have ended up
with 6 (at current count) Gargossal models. All of which are
unassembled. I would like to change that, and get at least one of them
built and painted this year. Current though is that it will be a
WoldWrath for my new Circle Orboros army, But it might be the Storm
Raptor (also Circle) or Mountain King (Trollbloods). May even be the
7th one I get...
4 - Maintain a relatively tidy and clear games room.
Pretty
Straight Forward. Once everything starts getting cluttered it becomes a
real drain on my hobby mojo. The table becomes a dumping ground for
boxes, cases and figures, and it then stops me wanting to play (as I
have to clear it...) I also immediately feel more settled when it is
clear and that helps productivity. Managed to clear my desk and the
tabletop yesterday. Cleaned out my painting mug, washed my pallet. Was
tempted to wash my painting towel, but I think it is now more paint and
glue than fabric, and that is all that would survive a wash. May just
invest in a new one.,
5 - Maintain Butcher's Guild being fully painted.
Seeing
as it was one of the few Game Systems that I actually had Fully Painted
for a while, I figure I had better keep on top of at least one team, it
is currently only 3 figures to paint to get them back there, and I have
another 2-3 teams to deal with after that. Fully Painted straight out
the window...
6 - Organise and run a two day Warmahordes event,
So
part of being a PressGanger is getting new blood into Warmahordes, and
the other part is keeping them there with various events. I've been
running a 4-weekly Steamroller, mainly at Common Ground Games in
Stirling, and I really want to put on a big two day event, as I've been
to a fair few and have always enjoyed them from a Player Perspective. I
have a venue and date set up for this already, it's just a case of
getting it all planned out and sorted now,
7 - Play 6 different Board Games.
Kinda
self explanatory this one. Now I've spent a fair bit of cash on
various kickstarters, mainly miniature related ones, and that has
included a lot of board games. Beyond organising them, and spending
even more cash buying card sleeves, I haven't really done anything else
with them. We had a kinda impromptu weekend gaming session early last
year when my friend Mark was over from Northern Ireland around March,
but that was really it. Fast forward to the last couple of weeks, and I
managed to get Brushchewer, Jimboba and Duffy together to play
Bloodrage at CGG, which was a blast. So, yeah, play 6 different
boardgames at least once, hopefully more. I know Bloodrage and
Battlelore 2nd edition are going to be part of that, probably Zombicide,
and seeing as she bought me Star Wars Imperial Assault and B-Sieged for
Christmas, I figure I better play those too. (once suitably sleeved)
8 - Paint a Dark Elf army for Warband in 15mm.
I've painted up 3 Blighthaven warbands now for Paul at Ral Partha Europe
and have amassed sizeable forces of Beastmen, Elves and various other
models. I absolutely love these sculpts, they are, in my opinion, some
of the best 15mm available despite being more that 20 years old. Seeing
as Jimboba is fielding his Celts, I figured I would do something a
little different for a new army, rather than the Copplestone
Northlanders I had been working on. I picked up Pendraken's Warband
rules a while back, along with a Taurian army pack, but I immediately
looked into switching to 15mm for this over 10mm. I got some sabots
made up at War Bases
so that I could use individually based 15mm models to play, and still
have them able to pull double-duty for skirmish games. Turns out that
the list I have planed for Warband will cover me for Dragon Rampant once
I add a Dragon. Go figure.
9 - Place in the top half (or at least top 2 thirds) at Welsh Masters for Warmahordes in May.
Again,
pretty self explanatory. Went to Welsh Masters last year, had a blast,
want to do the same again this year, and place a bit higher than I did
with MKii Thornfall. Top half of the table would be great, but I'd
settle for anywhere in the top two thirds.
10 - Transfer my flip-top paint collection to dropper bottles.
Some
of my paints are old. Like, 15 years old or more, and recently I've
had a few of my Foundry paints lid's shatter when opening them. I have
the complete collection, so that's a lot of paint. Add the P3 line to
that, as well as the newer GW line, and that's even more. Now, most of
the little nubbins on the flip tops are breaking anyway, so, 400 dropper
bottles from Ebay and a bunch of little funnels are waiting for me to
begin what is surely going to be a messy and tedious task.
11 - Paint 4-6pts of Normans for SAGA for the Falkirk District Wargames Club Campaign.
So
Tim is running a SAGA campaign at the club, and I figured I would join
in last year when it kicked off in a bid to play new people and learn a
new game. And clear some of my unpainted backlog... The Campaign
petered out after the first round or so due to various real life events,
but is scheduled to start up again this year. I am using the Conquest
Games plastic Normans for my force, and aim to have 6 points done,
hopefully with a few points of extra options.
12 - Play 6 New Opponents.
Again, self explanatory. Get out the house, stop being a recluse and play games versus new faces..
13 - Go to 2 Gaming Shows or Conventions.
Similar
to the above, just something to force me to get out of the house once
in a while. Between Nightshift and kids, free weekends are a luxury,
and never seem to coincide with anything exciting. Already booked in
for SmogCon in February, so that's a big one. Sadly I'll miss our clubs
show (Carronade) this year as it clashes with Welsh Masters, so
hopefully I can either get down to York for Varpartnak or one of the
other Scottish shows.
14 - Paint 20 Random Frostgrave Figures.
Frostgrave
really took off at FDWC, probably because most folk had a variety of
old models to shoe into a warband (and trigger random basing OCD...) and
I got pretty much all of the original Kickstarter. Did I mention I am a
huge Copplestone fan? I painted up an Enchanter Warband (Witch and
Necromancer were close choices) and both the standard and Cult
Barbarians. Added enough models to have a starting warband, and that is
as far as it got. Total games played 0. But at least I can say that
my warband has won more painting awards than it has won games, right? I
want to chip away at some of the Frostgrave drawer, probably because it
is full, and just to give me some random stuff to work on. The 20
figures I have chosen (at the moment) include the Apeman from Empire of
the Dead, and the Demon gang from A Fistful of Kung-Fu, as both should
fit in pretty well. I like getting double duty from models these days
(even if I continue to buy the official ones too) and the Demons should

15 - Finish the Privateer Press Forum Painting challenge with Ironman Status (10+ pts painted every calendar month)
For
the last two years I have participated in the "A Tale of
Warmachine/Hordes 20xx" on the official Privateer Press Forum. The
general idea is to paint 10+ points a month (MKiii) or a Warlock or
Warcaster. You are allowed two gap months by playing a get out of
painting free card, which can also be won back by painting 20+ points in
a single month after that. There was a list of various titles and
achievements listed somewhere, and one of those was the Ironman award,
for completing all 12 months without using a GooP card. I've managed it
for 2 years, so aiming for a third. Should be alright with my 2 new
battleboxes, a colossal or gargantuan, and adding to my Circle army.
16 - Paint 2 new Warmahordes Battle boxes for demoing.
This
one is relatively easy, and also contributes to number 15. I have a
number of starter battle boxes painted up already over MKii and MKIII,
and I figured that I might as well go for Trollbloods and Skorne as they
are the last 2 Hordes boxes I need to do, and are also the ones
included in the 2 player starter box. Although both 0pt choices in
game, that gives me 2 Warlocks and probably 3-4 months of stuff to
complete for the Forum Challenge.
So, yeah,
That is pretty much it for my goals in 2017. Obviously I'll get
distracted at some point, but I hope to use this as a guide to focus
myself a bit. I'll hopefully update soon with progress, or you'll be
waiting until 2018 for the next post...
